Become a Broadway Kid this June!
Does your child light up when a song comes on — or secretly belt out "Defying Gravity" in the car? Broadway Kids Camp is the Knoxville day camp for them!
Broadway Kids Camp is a 5-day morning musical theater experience for ages 8–12, right here in Knoxville. Campers will learn acting, singing technique, choreography, and the art of commanding a stage — all building toward a Friday showcase featuring numbers from one of today's most beloved musicals - Wicked.
No experience necessary. Big voices, small voices, first-timers, and seasoned performers — all welcome.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does my child need experience? No. Absolute beginners are just as welcome as kids who've been in shows before. Our instructors meet everyone where they are.
What should they bring? We will have a snack break every day, so please pack a non-peanut snack and a water bottle with water or clear liquids only.
What should campers wear? Comfortable clothes they can move in (leggings, tees, sweatshirts, gym shorts, etc) and closed-toe shoes.
Will every child get a part in the showcase? Yes. Every camper performs. We design numbers so everyone has a moment to shine.
What music or shows will the students be learning? We will spend the week immersed in the music from Wicked, learning to sing, perform, and dance from selections from the popular musical by Stephen Schwartz.

PILLAR 1. ACTING. Character work, storytelling, and performing with emotional truth — even in a group number. Expect lots of games and fun to bring out the actor in all of our camp kids!
PILLAR 2. SINGING. Breath support, pitch, tone, and singing as group — in a supportive, non-competitive environment. Anything but boring!
PILLAR 3. CHOREOGRAPHY. Musical theater movement vocabulary, learning Broadway-inspired routines step by step. Even a kid has two-left feet, we will give tips, techniques, and fun ways to put movement in their bodies!
PILLAR 4. STAGE PRESENCE. How to walk out, own the space, and make every audience member feel like you're performing just for them.
