Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How much does is the 6-lesson summer package and where does it meet?
A: Tuition for the entire six month is $190 and we meet at Knoxville Christian School, 11549 Snyder Road, Knoxville (near Campbell Station Rd).
Q: Do I need to book all six lesson slots right now?
A: No! You book your first lesson to reserve your spot in our summer program FIRST. Then, you can log back into your portal later (you'll receive an email with that info) to schedule the remaining sessions whenever you’re ready.
Q: What is your summer cancellation policy?
A: We know summer plans change. We require 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a booked lesson slot without losing that session credit.
Q: What are your operating hours during the summer?
A: Our set weekly lesson hours from June 2-July 7 & July 27-30 include:
Monday & Thursdays: 12-2:30 and 5-7:30.
We also offer periodic Friday morning lessons throughout the summer.
Q: Is this appropriate for a total beginner?
A: Yes! It’s the perfect way to "test drive" an instrument without committing to a full year.
Q: My teenager is already advanced and preparing for a major audition. Can this help?
A: Definitely. We can focus all six lessons intensely on fine-tuning their repertoire, performance technique, and mock auditions to ensure they are fully prepared.
Q: What age ranges do you teach?
A: Generally, we recommend not starting earlier than age 7, but can assess on a per-child basis. f you have questions about your specific child, please contact us.
Q: Who are the instructors?
A: You can view specific instructor bios on our "Meet the Team" HERE

Hi, I’m Martha Howell — studio manager, music enthusiast, and proud mom of five!
I studied classical piano for 12 years, which sparked a lifelong love of music and creativity. I have the joy of being the music theater director for Cross Creek Christian School, where I bring musicals to life.
I am obsessed with Broadway and all things musicals, so you'll find me jamming out to Jeremy Jordan, Joshua Henry, Eva Noblezada, and more!
When you have scheduling or tuition questions, I'm the one who you will be in contact with at Daniel Howell Music Studio.
As studio manager, I’m here to help things run smoothly so that our students, parents, and teachers can focus on what matters most — making and enjoying music!
