MUSIC THEATER ENSEMBLE
WEEKLY GROUP CLASS
Learn the craft. Build the ensemble. Take the stage.
A year-round Musical Theater training program for young performers (suggested ages 8–13), culminating in two full company revues — one in December and one in May.
It combines vocal training, acting, and choreography into one class, with the entire year building toward two music revues based around popular current Musicals that give every student real performance experience.
Through weekly group training, students develop:

Solid vocal technique for musical theater singing

Acting and storytelling skills through song and scene work

Choreography and stage movement

Ensemble skills — blend, harmony, timing, and teamwork

Confidence and stage presence

Real performance experience through two annual revues
Program Dates
Fall Semester: August 20 – December 10
Spring Semester: January – May
A detailed program calendar, including any dates off for school breaks, will be provided upon enrollment.
Weekly Class
Thursdays, 5:45-7:00 pm
LOCATION: New studio space this year - the exact location is still in negotiation, but will be in Farragut or Cedar Bluff area of Knoxville
Tuition & Payments
Semester Tuition: $650
Payment Option: Pay in Full or Billed monthly at $130/month
Who Is This Program For?
Music Theater Ensemble is ideal for students who:

Want ongoing training in singing, acting, and dance

Enjoy being part of an ensemble, and want extra training outside of full Theater programs or aren't quite ready to commit to full Theater programs.

No prior experience is required — just enthusiasm and a willingness to grow.

Hi, I'm Daniel Howell — a music educator with a heart for helping others discover the joy of music. I currently teach music at CAK, where I get to share my love of music with students every day.
I hold a degree in Music Education from Tennessee Wesleyan. I enjoy serving my community with my musical talents whenever possible, including performing with the Knoxville Opera.
I’ve been teaching private lessons since 2019, and one of my favorite parts of the job is watching students grow in skill and confidence. I also have a deep love for composing music — several of my original compositions and arrangements have been performed by my students, which is always a proud and meaningful moment.
When I'm not composing, teaching, or practicing (yes, even pros practice!), you can find me spending time with my big family and wife, Martha (who is also an educator).
I believe everyone has the ability to express themselves through music, and I’d be honored to be part of your musical journey.

Hi, I’m Martha Howell — studio manager, music theater teacher, and proud mom of five! I studied classical piano for 12 years, which sparked a lifelong love of music and creativity. I have the joy of being the music theater director for Cross Creek Christian School, where I bring musicals to life. I am obsessed with Broadway and all things musicals, so you'll find me jamming out to Jeremy Jordan, Joshua Henry, Eva Noblezada, and more!
In addition to teaching acting at Daniel Howell Music, when you have scheduling or tuition questions, I'm the one who you will be in contact with.
As studio manager, I’m here to help things run smoothly so that our students, parents, and teachers can focus on what matters most — making and enjoying music!
